Procedure

A good candidate for breast lift surgery should enjoy good health and have realistic expectations of the results. The breast shape and size will affect which procedure is correct for you. The average surgical process takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the number of procedures to be performed, and is usually done under local anesthesia with sedation, or general anesthesia. To minimize scaring, incisions are made around the areola, in the vertical lines below this, or in the crease under the breast, where they will become virtually invisible and imperceptible with the lapse of time. Once the surgery is completed, the surgeon closes the incisions with sutures or surgical tape.
