A breast lift is a surgical procedure that improves the shape and appearance of sagging breasts. Factors such as pregnancy, breast feeding and weight loss affect the shape and firmness of the breasts, together with gravity and loss of skin elasticity due to aging. A breast lift can give excellent results to give a firmer and more youthful appearance, however the results are not permanent due to gravity and the natural process of aging of the tissues.
A breast lift may be performed as a single procedure or in combination with another procedure to provide the best results. When combined with the placement of implants this gives a fuller and improved shape of the breasts. Or a breast reduction and breast lift can help reduce the weight of the breast and give additional support. Your surgeon will be able to advise you the most suitable treatment to achieve the best results.
The surgeons at Saint Luke's Hospital use the best brands of breast implants and procedures that comply with the demanding standards of the FDA in the United States. They blend surgical skills with artistic talent to transform the breast area into natural and very feminine curves. You get the best results at the most affordable prices.

A good candidate for breast lift surgery should enjoy good health and have realistic expectations of the results. The breast shape and size will affect which procedure is correct for you. The average surgical process takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the number of procedures to be performed, and is usually done under local anesthesia with sedation, or general anesthesia. To minimize scaring, incisions are made around the areola, in the vertical lines below this, or in the crease under the breast, where they will become virtually invisible and imperceptible with the lapse of time. Once the surgery is completed, the surgeon closes the incisions with sutures or surgical tape.
Most surgery carries some risk, and you should be aware of the medical risks of a breast lift procedure before you consent to surgery. The surgeon should discuss these risks with you at your consultation.
Risks vary from patient to patient depending on several factors. The following risks are possible risks associated with this type of surgery and are listed regardless of how slight the possibility:
• Bleeding and blood clot formation.
• Accumulation of fluid.
• Poor healing of the incisions.
• A change in the sensitivity of nipples which may be temporary or permanent.
• Slight pain, which may be persistent.
• Risks associated with anesthesia and the possibility of revision surgery.
